Our Sailing Morocco experience gives you the opportunity to sail both the Atlantic and Mediterranean coasts of North Africa. Tomboy Sailing offer a short or longer sailing holiday along either Moroccan coast departing from Marina Bay, Gibraltar.

On our Sailing Morocco experience we offer you the chance to sail across the straits of Gibraltar stopping in at Ceuta then onwards down the Mediterranean Moroccan coast. Once past Marina Smir you enter into a different and culturally diverse world leaving western civilization behind.
Alternatively sail west through the straits stopping in at Tangier then south down the coast of Morocco and the ports of Larache, Rabat, Casablanca and El Jaddida, There are kasbahs and medina’s all the way and unforgettable experiences waiting around every corner.

Sailing Morocco packages can be tailored to suit your needs. They are designed to be a relaxed introduction to the joys of sailing and life at sea and a discovery of new cultural experiences. For the more adventurous Tomboy Sailing can also offer a more intense sailing holiday, incorporating longer passages and night sails. This is the perfect opportunity for you to take control of a larger vessel with the confidence of knowing that a crewmember is never far away.

Our short breaks in Morocco are from 3–5 days and can be a great way to spend a weekend or a few days, they fit easily around a busy working schedule. You can fly into Gib and be out on the water within the hour, making the most of your sailing holiday.

Our sailing Morocco longer breaks are for 5 days or more, they are more flexible and can be tailored to include many locations and activities. Places futher afield can be reached and inland excursions can be arranged.

Example short breaks in Morocco 3-night itinerary

 

Day 1:

  • Embark yacht Tomboy and get settled into your cabins. Coffee, cakes and safety brief then set sail across the straits Africa.

  • Sail around Punta Almina the headland of Ceuta and drop anchor for a spot of lunch. Time for a swim and ride through the castle moat in the dingy.

  • Set sail towards Marina Hercules the port of the evening.

  • Moor up, showers and change for a night out in the port and exploring the town.


Day 2:

  • Options of travelling into morocco by minibus to the towns of Tetouan and Chefchouen with guides provided by us or,

  • Relaxing morning on the yacht with breakfast onboard then the option of going to the beach for a few hours or straight out, sailing south towards marina Smir.

  • Drop anchor for lunch and a swim, with the opportunity to take a dingy ride to shore and a relax on the beach. Time for a spot of fishing and snorkelling.

  • Then a relaxed sail into marina Smir.

  • Moor up, showers and a night in the bars and restaurants of the port. Here you can experience authentic Moroccan cuisine.


Day 3:

  • A leisurely rise and set sail back towards Gibraltar Marina Bay, with stops along the way for lunch, swimming, snorkelling and sunbathing.

  • Moor up in Gibraltar with the opportunity of eating a slightly more English cuisine and a relaxed night.


Day 4:

  • The option to go explore the rock, taking a trip to see Gibraltar’s famous Barbary Apes, Saint Michaels Cave, the Siege tunnels, Moorish castle and being able to take advantage of the duty free shopping.

  • Depart the yacht in time to catch your flight.
