Charter Sailing Excursions with Tomboy Sailing from £60 per person. All our skippers are qualified to the level of RYA cruising Instructor.

Dave and Lucy are the owners ,Skippers and hosts of Tomboy Sailing. We are an English couple who love the high seas. Sailing is our passion and we wish to share with you the very best that it has to offer.
We are both qualified to the level of RYA cruising instructor and are always happy to pass on our knowledge and teach new skills to aspiring skippers.

Together we have over 20 years of sailing experience and  have sailed over 35000 nautical miles. We have sailed  the Atlantic,  Pacific, Mediterranean,  Irish, Baltic and North Seas.
Our sailing has taken us to some amazing places around the world and given us sights and experiences that will never be forgotten.

Dave

Qualifications :

  • Yachtmaster offshore  (commercially endorsed),

  • RYA Cruising instructor,

  • RYA Sea survival,

  • RYA First aid qualified,

  • Qualified electrician and marine engineer.

I have always had a passion for the sea and have been around the water most of my adult life. Whilst travelling through Australia in 2000, I was employed as a deck hand taking people on charter sailing trips around the Whitsunday Islands and out to the Great Barrier Reef. This is where I met Lucy and together we decided we would set up our own charter sailing company.
Some years later we bought the sailing yacht Tomboy and after raising the capital and coding the boat we were able to set up Tomboy Sailing. We have been successfully operating since 2008 and during this time Tomboy Sailing has become one of the foremost charter companies in Gibraltar.

Qualifications :

  • Yachtmaster offshore (commercially endorsed),

  • RYA Cruising  instructor,

  • RYA Day Skipper theory instructor,

  • RYA sea survival,

  • RYA first aid qualified,

  • Qualified vetinary nurse.

Whilst travelling through Australia I met Dave on a charter sailing excursion. He recognised my lively bubbly personality and arranged for me to work with his company as a hostess. Since then  It has since been our dream to set up our own charter sailing company. I love catering for guests on board and to pass on my knowledge  whilst sailing them to all my favoirite destinations.


Tomboy Sailing also provide a professional yacht delivery service and can provide assisted skipper passages on your own boat.
